A retreat surrounded by vineyards, anchored at the foothills of the Andes. This was the client’s expectation for the home commissioned from GOV Arquitectos: a space in a remote corner of the world to connect with the fresh air, the vastness of the landscape, and the silence.

The Vines of Mendoza is a project located in Los Chacayes, Tunuyán, a region situated between 1,000 and 1,400 meters above sea level, with pronounced temperature swings between day and night. It is an alluvial area of low vegetation where carqueja, cedrón, and thyme grow, and the soil is a mix of stones and sandy clay…
